One Simple Question to Know If You’re Ready to Launch

Can we please bust the myth of launching already?

Yes, launching a new product or service feels like a daunting endeavor. But there’s this pervasive myth that you need to have everything perfectly aligned before you launch: a stunning website, a massive social media following, an expansive email list, and perhaps even your own podcast.

But here’s a little secret I’ve learned through my journey as CEO and Co-Founder of Brand Builders Group. Ask yourself this: “Do I have a product or service that can help someone else?”

If the answer is yes, you’re ready to launch. I’ll explain.

The Myth of Being “Ready”

Let’s get one thing straight: you’re never going to feel fully ready. If you wait for that moment when everything is perfect, you’ll end up waiting forever. You’ll always find something that could be improved, changed, or perfected. This perpetual state of preparation prevents many talented and passionate individuals from ever taking the leap. But the truth is, the perfect time to launch is now. Right now. Not tomorrow, not after you’ve gained another 100 followers, or when your website is flawless. Now.

Why? Because at the heart of any successful venture is the ability to serve and help others. If your product or service can do that, then you, my friend, are ready to launch.

Forget the Frills: Focus on What Matters

You might be surprised to hear this, but you don’t need a website to start. You don’t need a social media empire. You don’t even need social media accounts. What you need is something far simpler and infinitely more powerful: a genuine solution to a problem that people are facing.

At Brand Builders Group, we emphasize the importance of focusing on your customer first. This isn’t about how tech-savvy you are or how many digital tools you can leverage. It’s about having a quality product or service that provides real value. Everything else is secondary. You can build an audience, craft a brand, and even grow your online presence, but none of that matters if you don’t start with a solid foundation: your ability to help others.

Money Follows Value

Here’s another unconventional piece of advice: all you need to begin is a way to collect money. It could be as simple as a pen and paper. Old school, right? But it’s true. This journey isn’t about being flashy; it’s about being effective. It’s about providing a service or a product that makes a difference in someone’s life and finding a way to monetize that effectively.

(And hey, making money isn’t a bad thing. It’s necessary. It allows you to continue doing what you love and serving more people. But the key is to let the money come from serving your customers well.)

Launch Now, Perfect Later

Your focus should be on finding and serving your customers. Those customers will fund all the bells and whistles you thought you needed to get started. It’s a simple shift in perspective, but it’s a powerful one. Start with what you have, and grow from there. The resources, the audience, and the brand presence will come after you’ve proven your value to your customers, not before.

So if you’re sitting on a great idea because you think you’re not ready, I’m here to tell you: you are ready. The world needs what you have to offer, and there’s no better time to start than right now.

And if you’re wondering how to make that first step or need guidance on your personal brand strategy, scheduling a Free Brand Call with Brand Builders Group could be your next best move. We’re here to help you focus on what truly matters: creating value and making a difference.

Launching isn’t about having everything in place. It’s about having something of value that can help others. Focus on that, and everything else will follow. The ball’s in your court now.
